BBQ Island Estimate
Thank you for allowing us to provide a custom quote for your BBQ island build.
Choosing the perfect Custom BBQ Island for your backyard can be an intimidating and expensive process. Most of our competitors provide a total price for the BBQ Island with materials they choose and equipment they mark up. Because of this it is impossible to determine what you are actually paying for. The end result is a BBQ Island price that is thousands more than you should be paying.
At Backyard Flames we try to make that process as easy and cost effective as possible by breaking it into simple steps and separating the equipment and finishing material cost from the Island Build. What this means is that you will know exactly where every penny is spent allowing you to decide exactly what you want in the Outdoor Kitchen build. We never markup for equipment, tile, granite or stone so you have total control over your budget. If you see a sale online or at a store for equipment or material that you like, then you will put the savings in your pocket. If you prefer that we select the equipment and materials, we will do so without ever marking up the price. We have access to every piece of equipment on the market and every type of tile, stone or granite that you can imagine.
Complete your outdoor kitchen project in 4 easy steps and you could be cooking in less than 2 days.
Step 1
Island Build - Steel Frame and Concrete Board Construction
First you’ll select the shape and length of your island. The 3 common shapes are Straight, L Shaped or U Shaped. Once we know the dimensions of what you want, we’ll build the island using galvanized steel and concrete board.
Our Islands are built to last and all come with a Lifetime Guarantee.
Step 2
Select your Appliances
Select the appliances you would like us to install in your island. You can buy your own equipment or we can help you find the best equipment to suit your needs. Prices listed are for island cutout modifications and installation. Cost of the equipment is separate and will vary based on what you select. We never markup components or equipment.

How do we start a project?
All potential customers will receive a complimentary initial assessment and consultation prior to being provided a pricing estimate.
In order to keep our costs as low as possible, it is necessary to allocate our time to those customers that are ready to begin advanced stages of design or to begin construction of their outdoor kitchen.
Accordingly, design services and consultation beyond the initial consultation will be dedicated to customers that have either made a deposit for the Island Build or have contracted us for design services of a 3D Rendering of their project.
Jobs will receive priority based on the date of initial deposit. During high demand peak times, the waiting period can be as long as 6-8 weeks to begin a project. The earlier you make your initial deposit the sooner your job can be scheduled. Additionally, once you have made a deposit, you will have access to our design team and a project manager for consultation as needed. It is not necessary to have all of your final equipment or materials selected when making your initial deposit as the design team can assist in helping you make those selections after the initial deposit is made.
The deposit amount for your build is the total cost of Phase 1. For example, if your Island build total is $800, you will make a $800 deposit to get your project in the priority queue. Again, please note that it is not necessary to know exactly what appliances or finishing materials you want as these details can be selected and changed during the build process.
Backyard Flames offers 3D Rendering Design Service. 3D Renderings are $300 for the backyard and $500 for the front and backyard. These rendering are completely optional and are not required to begin a project. Customers that choose our design services are under no obligation to use Backyard Flames for their build and can use the renderings to shop anywhere they choose. Examples of 3D renderings are provided below for your reference. Again, renderings are not required to move forward with construction of your outdoor kitchen but they can be helpful in visualizing the finished product.
Once you have decided to move forward with your outdoor kitchen project, your project will be broken down into 4 Phases:
The project starts with Phase 1 - Island Build. Once you make your deposit, we will schedule the framing and construction of your Outdoor Kitchen. At this time, you will also decide what appliances you will have in your kitchen.
Once you select the appliances that you want in your Island we will build the Island to fit those appliances and components.
Phase 2 will be to install the appliances into your island and determine the necessary connections required to get everything hooked up.
A 50% deposit will be required prior to each Phase with the balance due upon completion of that Phase. If we are buying any appliance or material for you, those costs must be paid upfront.
We generally frame the island and install appliances the same day, So Phase 1 and Phase 2 are usually completed simultaneously.
Then you will select the finishing materials for the walls and top of your island. The finishing of the walls of your island and countertops are completed the same day on most island builds.
Most islands can be completed within 2 days but this may vary depending on the size of your island and the availability of the materials and appliances that you select.
